summary: Steve was born in New York, 1922. He grew up in a poor home, sickly and malnourished and often bullied. By his late teens he had lost both his parents to illness and supported himself. He got by on his own for a while, and when news broke out about impending war, invasion, he swore to join the military to protect not just the country, but all the lives there as well. He needed to do what he could to enlist, but his stature, his poor physical health, his health conditions- they all barred him from any sort of active duty.
He begged, pleaded, asked them to let him prove himself, and by some crazy stroke of luck they agreed. Moved by his speech, they brought him for a top secret project, injections of an experimental super soldier serum. It made him who he is now, Captain America.
After that he served his time, fought in World War II, became a symbol of a nation. Through blood, sweat and tears he fought for what was right. It’s not until one battle that things go wrong- the last thing he remembers is an explosion and then cold nothingness.
A gasp left him when he awoke- surrounded by others that spoke weird and were dressed weirder, claiming he was frozen. Claiming it’s the future. The worst part is they were right. He’d come to learn he had been frozen for almost 90 years- and now with the help of the others, The Avengers, he’s learned to mostly cope with his present life. He’d become an Avenger himself. He’s been a hero ever since.

INTERVIEW RECORD
████: How do you feel about the idea of being far from home? Is there anything you’ll miss?
STEVE: Well, If I'm perfectly honest, this isn't eexactly the first time I've woken up in a competely different reality. Sure, There are lots of things I'll miss, but if this is like anything elsee, then I'll make my way home again one day.
████: You seem like a resilient person. Would you say that you are?
STEVE: *he lets out a sound that's partially a laugh, partially a sigh* Yeah, I think I would say that...
████: Alright, how about this? Describe some of your strengths and weaknesses.
STEVE: Oh, wow, put me on the spot. Haha. Strengths, well- I'd like to think I can bring a team together. I'm also pretty strong, too... As for weaknesses... I've been told I need to think before I act..
████: Imagine the world ends today. What does that look like to you?
STEVE:Toed that line too many times to count, we always bring it back.
████: Let’s say you’re faced with a twist on the classic trolley problem: a trolley is headed for five people who’ve been tied to the tracks. You could pull the lever and divert the trolley, killing four people. Do you pull the lever? Does it make a difference?
STEVE: If it came down to brass tax I would find a way to derail the trolley and free everyone, depending on the wheel mechanism, my shield can jam it right up with the right angle.
████: Tell me about a dream you’ve had before. Good, bad… it doesn’t really matter.
STEVE: ...That's a little too personal, ma'am.
